Chinese herbology is a key component of Chinese Medicine. The mixture of a number of herbs within a herbal formula creates therapeutic synergy which benefits the organs and meridians being treated. Some formulas aim to strengthen energy and enhance body functions, some replenish vital substances such as Qi, Blood and Fluids. Other formulas might have been designed to relieve pain, invigorate blood flow, anchor the energy at the core, remove energy blockages and clear metabolic wastes.

Although the core ingredients in each herbal formula targets a particular health concern, supplementary herbs are added to form your individualised herbal prescription. This client-specific approach tailors the herbal formula to suit your presenting signs, symptoms and body constitution. Guided by your response to the herbal treatment, the adjustment and modification of your herbal formula will be done multiple times during the recovery process, until the desired treatment outcome is achieved.
